You don't have to dress scary for Halloween,
so here's both, scary and sweet.

GHOST
My costume last year was homemade, and NO SEW.
It can used for kids costumes also.

Use only one layer of black for witch / wizard cloaks or single red layer for little red riding hood.

WITCH

Add stripey tights, black t-shirt and witches hat.

BAT
Black sweatshirt, black jersey jogging bottoms,black socks, gloves, school pumps and black beany hat
Also needed black felt for ears (this is the only bit of sewing)
And either a black bin bag or old black umbrella for wings.
Black face paint and Dracula fangs (or white face paint as my son gags on the fangs)

GHOST
Black hooded sweatshirt, black jersey jogging bottoms, black socks.
White paint or glow in the dark paint.
Paper to make bone stencils as this is easier than painting free hand.

And made from an over sized sweatshirt and everything else can be glued into place.

OWL
Simply cut the sleeves of an oversized sweatshirt
and use the iron on hemming tape so the armholes dont fray.
Then cut the feather shapes from three differrent brown fabrics
(trouser fabric is great / charity shop)
Glue the feathers on in striaght rows from the bottom upwards.
Make yourself a mask from card or foam on elastic.
