YEAH SNOW DAY / FAMILY FUN IN THE SNOW!!!

WHEY HEY first snow on the season!!!

We went out bright and early as din't think it would last long as the sun is out.

So we had the hill to ourselves at first....

Liam is that little dot two thirds the way up the hill.
I don't know what the circles are on the hillside, they can't be seen normally???
We have some great hills in our village, great for sledging and kite flying, we are so lucky.

There wasn't enough snow for our snow rider but Liam loves the frying pan (it looks like one)
because he spins round on it going down the hill and it seems to go faster than any of the sleds.
Then back home for a snowball fight.

Have fun in the  snow with you family!!!

CHRISTMAS SWEETIE / TREAT BAGS - THIS WEEKS OBSESSION

I have been making all sorts of little Christmas sweetie bags,
that cost very little other than time, for the little people.

Also great for putting in Christmas stockings.
Chocolates from Aldi stickers from Hobby craft I think.

RUDOLPH'S SPARES

These were the strawberry fruit pastels which I thought looked like noses.

I wrote the Rudolph's Spares poem on the back (see below)
but it was rather rushed, so messy I will print the rest off

Rudolph has a job to do
Every Christmas Eve, it's true.
His nose will always light the way
For Santa and his tiny sleigh,
But if his nose should ever go out
Don't you cry, whine, yell or pout.
Take out this bag and use a bit.
From "Rudolph's Red Nose Repair Kit"

PENGUIN POOP!
Chocolate raisins LOL

Liam's keeps saying why would I give my friends poop?
and add alittle poem on the back (see below)

I caught a little penguin
With a rope tied in a loop-
It must have really scared him
'Cause he made this
penguin poop

AND THERE'S STILL LOTS MORE TOO COME!!!

And for the big kids.....
made from the mini Christmas chocolate bars from Tesco 80p for four.
I removes the wrappers and used them for a template to cut the new wrappers
drew on them with gel pens
and added snowflake confetti from B & M
These have Elizabeth Shaw mints stuck to the back of the punched circles
with the snowflake confetti again
Put into pretzel bags
They kept sliding on top of each other so I had to stick them to a strip of card.
Next time I will use a smaller scalloped  and circle punch.
Also nice little prezzie for the postie.

Card, punches and pens from CRAFTY URCHINS

CHRISTMAS SWEETIE / TREAT BAGS SNOWMAN SOUP

SNOWMAN SOUP

I love the idea of snowman soup hug in a mug special treats.
So here my take on them.

I make these up ready for a snow day we have people round
as we have some great sledging hills behind the house.
Also had them out to friends kids and some friends who work outside (God love them)

Sachet of hot chocolate
Mini marshmallows
Chocolate lollipop / candy cane for stirring
and a chocolate.

SNOWMAN SOUP POEM
A little cup of cocoa, I am sending out your way.
For you to sip & enjoy on some cold and lonely day.
As you sip this cocoa, it's warmth will warm your heart.
Just like our friendship warmed mine, right from the very start.

The snowman chocolate and lollipop were from Aldi.
For the grown ups (LOL) a Elizabeth SHaw mint and a candy cane stirrer

Not sure I like the colours with the sachets now, humm!!!

So LET IT SNOW  LET IT SNOW  LET IT SNOW!!!

CHRISTMAS SWEETIE BAG TOPPERS - THIS WEEKS OBSESSION

From "Rudolph's Red Nose Repair Kit"

Rudolph's nose is very bright
He helps guide Santa's sleigh
Without it in the dark night sky
They might not find their way.
So just in case dear Rudy's nose
Is kaput and goes on the blink
We have these spare "red nose seeds"
To repair him in a wink!

PENGUIN POOP

REINDEER POOP

Christmas is coming and so are the deer
Listen closely and you will hear,
And 'long with them comes a special treat,
Reindeer droppings for you to eat !!!!!

For all the souls who hate the noise
Of Christmas cheer and lights and toys
For Mr. Scrooge, and Mrs. too,
Here's a little gift for you ...
A lump of coal won't be enough
To make up for the shine and fluff,
So, here's a scoop of reindeer poop
To offset all that Christmas Goop !!!

Christmas is coming
along with Santa and his deer
listen closely on Christmas eve
and maybe you will hear.
while Santa leaves gifts
tied with ribbons and bows
the reindeer leave these droppings
in neat little rows

DINNER TABLE SETTING BLACKBOARD / CHALKBOARD CHARGER PLATES

I saw these gold chargers for 99p but hate the look of the square gold leaf.

and had a light bulb moment.... Christmas, Halloween, Valentines and oh some more occasions

.....so I covered them with blackboard paint
(sand and use a good primer for plastics first).....
.....and used pastels on them (the colours are more vibrant than chalk).....
ready for Christmas dinner.

How about Santa's cookies plate on Christmas Eve?

They can be wiped clean and used for other occasions.

Ready for Halloween

they look fab with white crockery on top!!!
