Christmas Tablescape 2012

I know I am very late in posting this but here we go...

I went for a white snowflake theme this year.

It was rather last minute...

I just placed a garland down the centre of the table,
attached white snowflakes
and added white fircones.

The snow flakes on the napkins are tree decorations.

and for New Years
(as I was extremely short of the money tree at the bottom of the garden,
so couldn't change it completely this year)

so I just change the napkin snowflakes to wishbones...

I boiled them clean and painted them gold.

I just hope those New Years wishes comes true!

DIY Paper Fans

I love these paper fans...

and they are so easy to make.

this is the best tutorial I have found.

you can cut to shape your fans once you have concertina folded your paper,
and I would glue the section together not staple as the finish is nicer.

This balloon banner is another cute party finishing touch...

I love the tassels on the ends...

string four of each colour balloon together...

tie the four balloons together...

put three groups of each colour balloon together...

thread a strong length of string through the centre of each group of four ballooons...

and that is it!

DIY Pinata

I come across so many magical party ideas that are just amazing,
I thought I would share them with you...

Made from a cardboard box, and crepe/tissue paper...

cut you number from a cardboard box, these are 20" high...

Cut 4" wide bands of card, tape around the edges of the numbers...
you could glue plastic glasses on the inside for strength

cut the crepe paper 3" wide...
Cut the crepe paper, fringe and stick to pinata

I love the colours, and the different patterns of crepe paper.

You can use these for decor at a childs party, grown ups, or wedding aniversary, in alsorts of colourways they are fab!
