HUNGRY CATERPILLAR PARTY

Here's some ideas for a younger child's birthday party...

Now before we start, if you time this right (about six weeks before the party)
you can get a caterpillar / butterfly growing kit from  insect lore******
and release them at the party and watch the children's faces.
You get to see them as tiny caterpillars, big fat caterpillars, a chrysalis
then turn into a beautiful butterfly!!!
take pictures at every stage to display at your the party.

We grow butterflies most years and still love it!!!

BIRTHDAY CAKE

I just adore this Hungry Caterpillar cake from Coco Cakes
who gives you a step by step tutorial on how to pull it together!!!

and here's the WOW Cake!!!

GAMES & ACTIVITIES

How about a hungry caterpillar hunt...
give each child with a magnifying glass and hide lots of pictures of caterpillars around the garden.

Since it's a party theme for younger children this thumb print book mark
is a great activity to keep them busy

the buttons and string are for kiddies to string green pasta on to make their own Caterpillar.

cute activities from Domesticali

a less messy option is a Hungry Caterpillar balloon print...

from Meet the Dubiens
just dip the tops of small balloons in paint and press onto a piece of card.

FAVORS / GOODY BAGS

I adore these lollipop / sucker hungry Caterpillar covers.

PHOTO BOOTH

I would buy some cheap beanie hats and glue on the felt features and make the above.
If they are real babes in arms wrap them tightly in a green towel also.

THANK YOUS
pop some jelly caterpillars into a small bug jar.

you can buy the bug jars from here
